What's Next

A few months ago we distributed a questionnaire inviting you to let us know what you are thinking about the future for Trinity Church. Only a few of you responded by filling out the questionnaire, but those few were bold to encourage us toward a bright future. The Church Council and various committees are working hard to set the stage for that future.

In addition to staffing the office, the SPRC will meet again after worship this Sunday to consider what Trinity needs to be most effective in ministry. The Education Committee will meet Sunday, too, working hard to meet the needs of our community. Watch for news about short term studies for the Lenten Season.

The UMW has good news inside this Bulletin. Read about all the women of Trinity Church are doing. The UMM are planning, too, getting ready for our Shrove Tuesday supper and gearing up for their annual St. Paddy's Day breakfast/fundraiser. News from the Visitation Team is on the horizon and plans are in the works to "up the ante" on our advertising profile.

Ash Wednesday is in two weeks and we'll have a noontime worship service as well as the imposition of ashes in the evening. Lent unfolds quickly this year (though it is still only forty days) and Easter comes early. In these the coldest days of the year so far, it is hard to imagine that Spring is right around the corner.

There has never been a better time to find something "else", "more" or extra to do around Trinity Church. The opportunities are abundant! The experiences are varied! I trust you'll pray, listen and respond to the Spirit of God in the weeks ahead. Come to church. Be present. You'll be surprised at the difference that can make… not just in your own life, but also in the life of our community.

See you Sunday?
